In a day of guided workshops, teachers will explore pedagogies implicit in the new syllabus and consolidate this understanding by programming their chosen course: Standard, Advanced or English Studies. Sessions begin with an outline of issues, relevant pedagogies and approaches for programming. This will be followed by guided workshops in which these will be implemented. Teachers will review the syllabus outcomes and mandated assessment for backward mapping into units and learning sequences. They will have time to work independently to consolidate the day’s discussion and develop a program overview relevant to their school context, including learning sequences ready for implementation in 2018.
