TEA has invited experienced teachers who have delivered the HSC syllabus – Design and Technology, Textiles and Design, Community and Family Studies, Food Technology, and VET Hospitality – to present at this course. This course is designed for teachers implementing the Stage 6 syllabi and will enable participants to develop deeper understanding for the Stage 6 course/s they deliver at their school. The presenters will share their HSC experiences that have maximised engagement and achieved high quality student outcomes. The participants will be given comprehensive information, be involved in discussions and activities related to curriculum, assessment, resources, teaching strategies, learning activities and/or classroom management that contribute to positive preparation of their students for the HSC.

Participants will be able to view materials used by the presenter in their own classrooms. They will also be able to ask questions of the presenter. The presenter will also provide a one page summary of their presentation for the participants to take with them. At the conclusion of the course, there will be an opportunity to discuss with other participants as well as the presenters other related topics or issues in delivering the syllabi to students.
