David Banney is an Australian conductor and music educator. He a past recipient of the ABC Young Conductor of the Year Award and conducts many of Australia’s leading orchestras and ensembles.
Come and enjoy a weekend of choral singing with expert choral educator David Banney.
The participants will develop their own singing, musicianship and conducting skills using repertoire that will challenge them at their level of development. They will also be shown how to incorporate these skills into their choral rehearsals and music lessons for their students at their particular level of development. They will learn strategies to develop effective rehearsals, including vocal warm-ups, rehearsal structure and vocal and musical problem solving. The weekend will conclude with a performance of the works studied
